The best result in facial aesthetics is one nobody can quite identify. Here are real before and after photos from my patients, and what to expect from each treatment.

Results vary from person to person, and every treatment starts with a consultation. Lighting can differ slightly between photos taken weeks apart.
The standard
What a good result looks like
My test is simple. If someone who sees you regularly says you look well, rested or like you've had a good holiday, the treatment worked.
That standard is deliberately conservative, and it's the one I hold every treatment to.
Give it two weeks
When to judge a result
Swelling peaks in the first 48 hours and takes one to two weeks to settle. Tear trough filler takes about a month to show fully. Microneedling, skin boosters and polynucleotides work on your own collagen, which takes weeks to months.
Almost every worry about a result comes from judging it too early. That's what the two-week review is for.
Dermal fillers: around two years
Cheeks at least two years, chin and jaw around two, tear troughs 18 months to two years. A full-face treatment lasts at least three years.
Lip enhancement: 18 months to two years
Lips move constantly, so they break filler down a little faster than static areas.
Microneedling: a course, then maintenance
Three to six sessions, four to six weeks apart, and six for scarring. Your skin keeps making more collagen for around a year.
Skin boosters and polynucleotides: a course
Skin boosters: two treatments four weeks apart, then maintenance. Polynucleotides: three treatments three to four weeks apart, then every six months.
When to book before an event
Allow two weeks between any injectable treatment and something important, and four if you can. Bruising is unpredictable.
If you change your mind
Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved. Microneedling, skin boosters and polynucleotides simply fade if you stop.

Most people go straight back to work after injectable treatment. Avoid exercise, heat, alcohol and lying flat for the first day or so. You'll have the details in writing.

Only if you want to keep the result. If you stop, your face simply returns to where it would have been.
